About

Lindsay Talbot is a writer, editor, and sustainability consultant based in Manhattan.

She’s a Contributing Writer at The New York Times and currently writes for publications including Vogue, Conde Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, New York Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, The Daily Beast, Ralph Lauren, Travel & Leisure, Departures, and Domino . She spent over a decade working as a Senior Editor at Vogue, Conde Nast Traveler, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle magazines. She covers sustainability, culture, travel, architecture, design, art, and archival fashion history.

Lindsay writes about climate change and sustainability, champions women’s empowerment—be it covering female-founded small businesses and entrepreneurs or activists—and celebrates a diverse range of cultural, artistic, and creative voices. She’s passionate about using her writing for a good cause; over the last 15 years, she has published dozens of articles about bringing attention to the environmental footprint of the fashion industry, which is the second biggest pollutant on the planet after Big Oil. Lindsay helped establish the Natural Resources Defense Council's Clean by Design program, and is one of the inaugural founders of the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Eco-Challenge. She helps also oversee partnerships for her family’s non-profit The Fuller Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting the arts, underserved youth, and endangered species.

She actively mentors young alumni at Phillips Academy Andover, serves as a member of Columbia University’s Young Leaders Council, volunteers at The New York Public Library, and is a Team Leader at the non-profit organization New York Cares. She is also a Patron of The Guggenheim Museum, The Frick Collection, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Addison Gallery of American Art.
